Yama Adventures specializes in providing memorable and rewarding Himalayan experiences for those willing to travel to these remote lands. We emphasize the treks and tours in Ladakh because of its pristine beauty and unspoiled culture. Whether you're interested in one of our standard treks or tours, or want to customize your own itinerary, we are ready and willing to fulfill your needs. We can also arrange trips to areas of the Himalayas outside of Ladakh. Rinchen Namgial is the owner and head organizer of Yama Adventures. He can usually be found at the home office, located in Leh, Ladakh, except when he is out leading treks or tours. Because Yama is a small company with low overhead, we can offer very competitively priced treks and tours. The range of our services extends from fully organized trips joining and ending in Delhi (or another gateway city) to just providing a trek or tour in the area of interest. Yama Adventures was started in 1997 as a collaboration between Namgial and the Logsdon brothers. Prior to this time, Namgial had been leading treks for many years in Ladakh and was ready to start his own business. The Logsdon brothers were avid trekkers approaching retirement and looking for a way to share their passion for the Himalayas with others. Treks and tours were run all over the Himalayas, but Ladakh remained the favorite destination. The Logsdon brothers have now retired a second time and the business is now totally in the capable hands of Namgial.
