At YH Training Services Ltd, we offer you choices. Post-16 and after year 11, you do not have to stay at school, go to sixth form or move onto FE college; so whilst you do have to stay in education or training, with YH you have many more options to choose from. With us you have the choice of whether to undertake: Pre-Foundation studies Foundation Learning Traineeship Apprenticeship Young people continue in education or training after they finish year 11, because it gives them the chance to get the skills and qualifications that employers and universities look for. We want to give all young people the opportunity to develop the skills they need for adult life and to achieve their full potential, but we are also aware that not all young people want the traditional school or college route. To make sure you make the right choice, we'll work with you; discuss what you want to do, what you need to do to get it, and how we can support you by providing the skills, experience and qualifications you need to get you to where you want to be. We'll create a learning plan as individual as you are and guide and support you, even making changes along the way, in line with your personal needs. Participating in education or training for longer means young people are more likely to attain higher levels of qualifications and have increased earnings over their lifetime, better health and improved social skills. This in turn contributes to a more highly skilled, productive, and internationally competitive workforce. Alongside introducing reforms to improve the quality of post-16 education and training, the government has raised the participation age (RPA) so that all young people in England are now required to continue in education or training for longer.
