Youth Integrated Development Organization

YIDO is a youth Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) located along church road Kamwokya Parish, Central Division Kampala district. The organization started as a community based Organization (CBO) way back in 2005 and progressively graduated and registered as an NGO in the year 2009 as KYDEVA Uganda. This organization was basically started to empower under employed and unemployed youths in Kamwokya. We started by starting small and micro-projects like charcoal selling, poultry keeping, and a saving and credit scheme. These small projects created some employment opportunities for over 30 youths at the beginning. In 2008 this organisation was expanding its activities even in other sub counties and districts and that is when we applied for registration at national level in the NGO Board. By 2009 we were legally registered as a youths NGO allowed to operate in the whole country of Uganda.
