The YM-YWHA

The YM-YWHA provides meaningful programming for people with special needs, be they physical, developmental or intellectual. People feel safe and welcome here, they feel they belong, and the Y community would not be the same without them. We adapt: Our leisure and recreational programs are tailored to the needs of each individual. We foster growth: We encourage children, youth and adults to push beyond their comfort levels. We inspire: Our activities pull people away from the sidelines and inspire them to get involved. We empower: The adults in our Chaverim socialization program decide as a group what outings they would like to take and what activities they would like to do. We provide respite: We offer peace of mind to family and caregivers as they take some time to themselves.
