The Whitehorse General Hospital is committed to continuous quality improvement as part of its strategic business plan. In the continuous process to improve the care and services to our patients and their families, the W.G.H. Quality Improvement Teams are the actual change agents. The Teams are multidisciplinary and involve employees from different areas and levels of the organization, as well as physician and consumer representatives. The team approach offers the opportunity for quality to be integrated into all aspects of the organization and emphasizes patient needs and expectations. The W.G.H. has eight Quality Improvement Teams which include five Patient Care Teams, a support services team, a Community Partnership Team and a Quality Leadership Team which is responsible to oversee the organization's overall Quality Improvement strategic plan.
