Many of you are familiar with ZLC Private Investment Management, the investment division of ZLC Financial Group. For those of you who are not I would like to provide you with a brief introduction. In 2000 ZLC Financial Group partnered up with Vertex One Asset Management, a local fund manager who shared many of the same values. ZLC Private Investment Management (PIM) is the asset management division of ZLC Financial Group. Their focus is on tailored wealth solutions for individuals, trusts and corporations with portfolios of $150,000 and above. Basing its philosophies on the ZLC Financial Group model, PIM wanted to do things a little different from their competitors. Our fund managers are local, available and aligned with our client's interests but global in their breadth of knowledge and reach. Jon McKinney, President & Portfolio Manager leads the PIM Team with support from Associate Portfolio Manager, Francesca Chan. PIM's portfolio of Fund Managers consists of Vancouver based Vertex One Asset Management Inc., founded in the 1997 by 3 investment professionals. With assets under management over $1 Billion and a team of 18 professionals, Vertex has been successfully managing the Vertex Fund and Vertex Managed Value Portfolio since 1998, two funds that have consistently remained top-rated in their respective categories. In 2010, Vertex and PIM launched the Vertex Strategic Income Fund, a fund focused on yield and income and available exclusively through ZLC. Our most recent partnership RISE Properties Trust was established in January 2012, by the MOSAIC Group, a prominent Vancouver-based investment and development company that has been developing real estate in Seattle for the past decade. Since its formation in 2000, MOSAIC has completed over $1 Billion of residential developments and paid out over $55 Million to its investors. From time to time PIM may also introduce and recommend additional fund offerings to their clients as part of a diversified portfolio.
