Zoram Mega Food Park Pvt

The Zoram Mega Food Park envisions state-of-the-art infrastructure developed on basis of 'hub & spoke' model in the region which will lead to spatial clustering of processing opportunities. We work closely with the farmers, the fundamental driver of the food park and undertake various key interventions in present agricultural systems so as to improve management practices and bring improvement in productivity sustainably. Three crucial components of our project are: Central Processing Centre: CPC located at Khamrang, District Aizawl- hub of the project spanning in area of about 55 acres. It facilitates value addition through processing, storage & distribution facilities. It will further provide supporting infrastructure required to ensure smooth functioning of the supply chain. The location has been chosen strategically since it is connected well through rail & road & air. Primary Processing Centres (PPCs): The CPC shall be supported by three PPCs at Thenzawl, Champhai & Lunglei. The purpose of setting up of PPCs will be to provide treating, sorting, grading & packaging facilities etc. Cold storage infrastructure will also be established at PPCs. Farm level Collection Centres (CCs): PPCs will be supported by collection centre which shall be located in the primary production areas. These will serve as basic level touch point with the farmers, farmers groups etc. CCs will ensure to procure raw material from farmers at competitive and remunerative prices.
