It is therefore essential that each of these stakeholders is aware of the role and responsibilities of the others to have harmony in the workplace as required by the Industrial Relations Act 2000. There can be no work in the absence of people. Once there are people in an organization they need to be managed. In the workplace management of people is termed Human Resources Management. For effective Human Resources Management, employees must know what their responsibilities are, and how they should behave when they have complaints and how to follow structures (policies) in place that guide them. It is therefore essential that stakeholders are compliant with workplace laws such as the Employment Act, Industrial Relations Act, Occupational Safety and Health Act and so on.
